It is possible in both the Outlook and Outlook Web to add an external calendar. Here's how:

In Outlook:

  1. Open your Google calendar and do the following:
    1. Hover over the name of the calendar to be shared in the lower right part of the screen; you should see 3 dots appear
    2. Click the 3 dots, then click Settings and Sharing
    3. Click Integrate Calendar
    4. Scroll down to the Secret Address in iCal format and click it; this should highlight the URL
    5. Press Ctrl-C (Windows) or Cmd-C (Mac)
  2. Open Outlook and navigate to the Calendar view
  3. In the navigation pane (lower left corner), you should see one or more calendar groups
  4. Right click the calendar group to which you would like to add the calendar
  5. Hover over + Add Calendar, then click From the Internet
  6. Paste the URL from step 1 into the window and click OK
In the Outlook Web App:
  1. Open Outlook Web's Calendar view.
  2. Click "Add Calendar" in the lower left pane.
  3. Follow the prompts to add the calendar.
